Chelmsford City have been knocked out of the Senior Cup. The holders went down 4 -3 to AFC Hornchurch in the semifinal last night. Hornchurch will play Colchester United in the final - after the U's beat Dagenham and Redbridge.

Southend Back In Court

Southend United are back at the High Court today in their battle with HM Revenue and Customs . The Blues are disputing their tax bill - with Chairman Ron Martin saying the 2 point 1 pound million total settled last year was two hundred thousand too much.
